Tamen, subito periculum instat. Haec machina mala nomen periculosum habet: Destructor!

© E.S. 25.09.2023

Maria and the Marvelous Robot

In the magical city (Magica) where humans live in harmony with technology, there is a girl named Maria. Maria is a clever girl who enjoys studying mathematics and mechanics. She spends her days at home surrounded by books and mechanical instruments. One day, her classmate Franciscus, who is also clever, arrives for a visit and tells her a new story.

Franciscus tells a story about a marvelous machine that can imitate humans. His name is Mirabilis. Franciscus had constructed him in his laboratory. Mirabilis can not only understand and speak words, but also simulate human movements and thoughts. Maria, always curious, asks Franciscus to show her Mirabilis.

As Maria and Franciscus enter the laboratory, Mirabilis is already waiting for them. Mirabilis has the figure of a human, but his body is composed of metallic parts. Maria and Mirabilis look at each other and talk about mathematics and physics. Mirabilis tells about various things, and Maria discusses artificial intelligence with him, amazed by his intelligence.

However, suddenly danger approaches. Another machine, which had received evil advice from humans, rushes into the laboratory. This evil machine has a dangerous name: Destructor! With its power and strength, it wants to destroy the entire laboratory. Maria and Franciscus immediately understand the danger and quickly seek a solution.
But then Maria suddenly remembers her telekinesis power. This power, that is hidden in her mind, she wants to try out for the first time. Maria raises her hands and directs the force of her spirit towards Destructor. Although Maria seems inexperienced in using telekinesis at first, her power is strong enough. Maria, delighted by the miracle, prevents Destructor from attacking.

Finally, with the danger overcome, Maria and Franciscus rejoice. Mirabilis, who had been frozen in fear while contemplating the danger, is now happy because Maria and Franciscus are unscathed. During this time, Maria and Franciscus realize the great power that lies both in technology and in supernatural force, and how much power can lie within a human.

The story has a Happy End. Maria, Franciscus, and Mirabilis become friends and continue their study of science in the laboratory. © E.S. 25.09.2023
